Welcome to Paws Awhile. This site offers you the opportunity to learn more about us. We love all animals here and this site is dedicated to them, the Special Angels. Click on any item on our menu to see what we are about. There is a page for memorials to pets we have loved and lost. On the Best Friends page you can see beloved pets that are still with us. Animal Stories and Poems is just that, stories and poems you want to share with others. Rescue Groups is for all those wonderful people who are trying to help the abused and unloved animals. You are welcome to send in your picture, story, or link. We will be happy to add them.
We also have a Gift Shop located inside Jessie's Antique Barn, 5632 Highway 28 East, Libuse, Louisiana. You can see pictures of the shop here. Click on The Paws Awhile Dream to see what the proceeds will be used for and where we got started. In the shop we carry a wide variety of animal items by Conversation Concepts. We also have a huge selection of hand made all natural soaps by Hidden Valley Farms, Christmas ornaments, Collectibles, Memorabilia, Salt and Pepper Shakers, Teapots, Glassware and China, Quilts, Pins for your Lapel, Hat, or Tie, Books, CD's, Cassettes, 8-Track Tapes, VHS and DVD Movies and a wide variety of other interesting things. We are always looking for new and different items to add to our store so drop in to see what we have and visit for awhile.
Paws Awhile now has a blog. This is something new for us and we are very excited about it. We are also a little nervous. We have never done anything like this before, so we have a lot to learn. We will be talking about anything and everything. The main topic will be pets, but you will find all kinds of things, from antiques to NASCAR to politics. Along with the blog we added the Paws Awhile Community. Here we offer forums, chat rooms, blogs, polls, image galleries, news and sports articles, and free classified ads. If you would like to sign up for our newletter, Paw Prints, you can do so on the community page. This is a meeting place for the Paws Awhile family. Every one will be welcome.
